Pen Fault Detection
Bomern PEN fault protection in EV charging several key components and steps:
Detection of Faults: Thesystem constantly monitors the integrity of the PEN conductor. This can be done through devices that measure voltage, current, and impedance.
Automatic Disconnection: If afault is detected, such as a break in the conductor or an unexpected current flow, the system is designed to automatically disconnect the power supply. This prevents the risk of electric shock or other hazards.
Alarm or Notification System:In many systems, when a fault is detected and the power is disconnected, an alarm or notification system is activated. This alerts the operators or users to the issue.
Restoration of Power: After afault has been resolved, the system can either be manually or automatically reset to resume normal operation.
